I've got two fairly new masks I've had for only a couple years and had to stop using them due to large tears in the backs of them. One, a corpse, is severely ripped in multiple places in the back and the other, a clown, is ripped straight up the back to the wig of the mask.
Any ideas as to how to fix these? I did the typical Google search but didn't find much help... I was thinking just liquid latex reinforced with some type of fabric... but what kind?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

I'm thinking both. The masks are treated/dusted so it don't colapse and stick to itself, so fresh latex would probably peel. Stitching along the torn seam, then bridging the gap with cloth and liberaly apply latex over both. The stitching and cloth should give the new latex something to anchor to.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

Use Krazy glue (Cyanocrylate) and use a small amount along the edge of one side of the tear, then carefully hold the other side of the tear against it and VOILA, instant repair. Of course the area will be "scar-like" and won't flex as easily as the areas around it but, that means the other areas surrounding the repair will flex to accomodate.
