Mine's about 2 1/2' - 3' and that keep the kiddies out fine but I can still step over it and work in the cemetery when needed.

My columns are just a hair over 3 feet tall, and the wire fence is roughly 2.5 feet. It is easy to step over (but I have a gate area that just pulls right out of the ground if I need to carry in stuff). It is tall enough to deter smaller children and still acts like a visual barrier to the taller ones.

My vertical rungs are just under 4 feet tall, including the finials. It's really up to you. Go with the scale of your graveyard, or as tall as you want to keep people out.

Mine are 3ft tall I think. Like jdubbya said....you have to use a scale that fits your graveyard

I am in the same situation you are in. Last year, I planned on making a fence, but ran out of time. I plan to just lay out the measurements of the area and scale the height as best as I can...

I plan to make the classic PVC fence with finials this year... around 3.5ft should do it for me.

Plan your fence according to your materials.

This year I also intend to enclose the whole cemetery, and have a bitchin cemetery gate. I'm planning on 1/2" PVC for the pickets with home made plastic finials hot-glued in place. So if I get 8ft pvc pipes, I'll cut them into either 4ft pieces getting two pickets per pipe, or 2ft 4in for three pickets per pipe.

If I can get 12ft pipe lengths, then definitely four 3ft pieces per pipe.

So start sizing things up, by the materials and supplies you have or can get your hands on.
