At Pirates of Carribbean down at Disney they have a projection onto what appears to be pressurized fog curtain flowing downward. Any ideas how this can be done ... maybe it's like the faux fire where it uses a humifier midst under pressure, seeing this effect more and more ....

You should go to Kings Island and ride the new dark ride Boo Blasters.....you travel right into a misty fog screen with a projected face of Boocifier taking to ya. Very cool and creepy.

There was a new item at Transworld that comes very close. Made by Vortex Chillers. He used fast-dissipating fog fluid run through his chiller out what looked to be PVC elbow joints of some kind at the top. He called it a Fog Curtain. So, you know what I did? I bought one...Yep, I surely did,

I'm getting the smaller version with a fog chiller. He is still doing testing on the smaller version and will be sending it to me when completed. I'm hoping it won't be too windy on Halloween as I will be using it as the entrance into the 3D section. I also thought it would work great for a fog screen projection.
Footage of a larger one can be see at the 1:06 time mark:

Terra, the chilled fog appears to be forced out of the PVC. Does it use a small fan or is the fog machine/chiller positioned up toward the top of the curtain?
I look foward to your review of the Fog Curtain once you get your hands on it!
I'm guessing you'll have to create a wind barrier if you want to use this outside.

Yeah, that or it will be just inside the entrance.
From what I understand the chiller is on the floor and the nozzle is jutted up to an opening in the bottom of a vertical PVC pipe which is attached to the fog curtain pipe at the top. No fan, just the chilled fog.

Actually, this would be great to replace those monster TV projection screens or cases that people have nowadays. Just need to have it rise towards the ceiling where there would have to be a ventillation fan. Can you imagine watching TV on something like this? The possiblities...

At the show, he was using his large chiller with a Magnum fogger. That is why he wants to test the smaller version (with a smaller chiller and fogger combo) to make sure it will give the same effect. At the show he was using a 4" PVC, for the smaller version he is thinking of a 3".
