Came across a really cool new product called Hydrance Optimale from an Italian company that can be projected on the floor. Here's the video of it. Obviously high end commercial use but ultra cool. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Here's a water effect projector projected against a wall. A number of companies have been making these (there are lots of posts about this type of projector on this forum BTW) so this is nothing new. Just thought it worth posting the video of it for newbies who didn't know something like this was out there. Still quite a difference between this one and the one above it.

I've seen one of these at the mall, a projector mounted on the ceiling and shine on the floor, it also had some games where you could "kick" a ball and it would bounce around and other effects "games", neat effects

The projector has a sensor to detect the interruption of light (by foot or hand), and the projector responds by altering the video for that area. (You don't need to actually touch the projected surface. You can cast a shadow with your hand and achieve the same effect.) It's a clever interactive device that has been used at malls and public spaces for marketing purposes. Logos and sponsor names are regularly projected to promote brand image. It's fun to watch not only the kids who love to play the games, but the parents too, who secretly want to try it out when the kids are not watching.
