As a part of my school's Drama Dept., I will be performing as one of the weird sisters from MacBeth. It's great, but....

I have to acquire all the spell ingredients.

I've already got the wool of bat, dragon's scale, witch's mummy, and so forth, but I don't know what to use as a tiger's chaudron(guts) because we will be playing for three nights and all our items must be reusable for the rest of the performances. Also, what we use mustn't mess up the other items when thrown together in the pot.

Any ideas? If we really have to we can use a small sack of random nonsense and pour it in so closely the audience can't tell, but we'd rather not try to fool hundreds of watchers...

The only thing i could think of would be roll a long thin sheet (2-3 ft long) pull a ladies stocking over it, then tie string around it in separate ring sections to simulate intestines & dust with red spray paint...... if you wanted it to move or stiff, use expanding foam. as you spray, make long random long section, in a small circle like intestines, paint red- guts !

That was going to be my suggestion, too!

Just use some old nylons or children's tights and stuff them with whatever you'd like. You can use socks, newspaper, tennis balls, etc. Then just tie, or stitch, segments into the length and you've got yourself a section of "intestine". The final step is to color it appropriately. A good dusting with red spray paint should last you for a three night run.

If I remember correctly from my spellcasting days, tiger's chaudron was almost never fresh but was allowed to become dried and withered. This allowed it to have a longer shelf life. Because it was a rare ingredient, it was usually used in small amounts--a handful but never more.

I would suggest visiting your local Asian grocery store and search for some dried ingredients, such as dried squid strips or dried octopus. And don't be afraid to munch on these during the performance.

You can even go to the market and get some dried mushrooms. Their color and texture would work well to simulate dried intenstine.

boil spegetti noodles and die them bloody red. Keep them moist so you can reuse them. From far it will look like a mass of stringy guts.

If there are no latex issues....
cut up thin latex gloves into strips. It'll look like large flexible noodles or tissue from a distance.
