I had bought this shaking skeleton a few years back and I just noticed that the glowing eye has died. I really don't want to start opening it up and messing with the electronics so I need some ideas what to do with the dead eye. I was thinking of letting it stay that way what the heck Halloween is about the unusual, but it just doesn't look right at night when the eye area are blinking red and you only see the one blinking. Any Ideas? I have a few but I want to see what others might come up with since you guys are so cleaver. I was thinking of putting a eye patch on it but I don't have a pirate theme. so Please help me out. picture of my shaking talking blinking skeleton below
Thanks everyone![]()

Shouldn't be too hard to fix. Depending on how the eyes are wired it could just be a loose wire to the LED. If you can open the back of the skull easily, you'll probably see the problem right away. Did both eyes blink at the same rate when it was working?
I...have many names...

He doesn't have to be a pirate to have an eye patch.
You could make a hanging eyeball from the socket of the dead led. Another thing could do is half wrap the skull in gauze covering the dead led.

Ya, I like the gauze idea! Dirt cheap and it dresses him up a little more too.
