You guys helped me on my attacking dog and other than the motor not being strong enough, the basic plan works.

Now I am trying to figure out how to get a drill to make a dummy shake violently on an electric chair. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Why a drill? why not get ahold of monster guts and get a wiper motor? all's you really hav to worry about shaking is the torso and that would work and mount so much better with a wiper motor.

Well I got it to work. Got a dummy strapped in the chair with a manaquin (sp?) head. Took one of those round pads used to take rust off with hard rubber or whatever it is thaty wears down. I took all the rubber stuff off, so it was just a small round metal piece and took a small piece off wood and screwed it to it and then put a hole in one end of the wood and attached a long link off that that is attached to the head. I also found an old box that you plug a motor into and it has a dial to slow the motor down. Worked good, but still shakes the body pretty violently. So it may not last long.

I think you may be right about the wiper motor. Had one laying around, but can't find it.

I also wanted to have those ceramic power insulaters on each side abvoe the chair, but could not find them anywhere and the few places that sell them online were pretty vague about styles and price. So I did a search of old posts on here and found a very innovative post about using toilet plungers. I bought 2 from the hardware store, they were blue, but I painted them primer grey and cut off the long handles. Man they look just like insultors! If I can figure it out I should post some pics. Only cost about 7 bucks each.

Here is the chair that we built last year..We used decorative toilet paper roll hanger things...they look good and they were stainless steel, so making them look old wasnt that hard.
