I think everyone's right the Witch is making a comeback. Though not my first choice when it comes to a prop, but my mom wants one, and well I set up on her property. It just doesn't really go well with my cemetery theme, but I've come up with a way to mix the two. I'm doing more of an old hag, not your typical witch. I order yesterday my mask and the gloves I'll be using, I already have my 55 gal drum for the cauldron and today picking up the pvc I need.
The mask and gloves come from death studios, for a little extra money they are going to put in white hair, but not a lot. They are also painting the gloves to match.

Bascially the back story is she is going to be the caretaker of my cemetery, she lives in the cemetery, so I'm thinking of building how own little fenced in area in the cemetery. So I'm going to built her a hut that is based a lot off of the skull & bones concept:
I started mocking up my own in Google Sketchup, it's missing a lot of the details. It will have a window in the top, there will be a crooked pipe chimney, and it will be back lit by a red light that will shine through the cracks, I'm going to use the distressed cloth you can buy for curtains.

I have a lot if ideas for small details that I really feel will make this come together. I shall keep you updated as I move forward.

Love the mask and hands! Great "evil" eye! That's so great Death Studios is willing to do that for you. Impressed they have that level of customer service. Love the shack you are modeling too. I'm definitely going to keep a photo of it for inspiration.
I think the witch will work with your cemetary. Maybe she can cast some spells to make skeletons rise from their graves. Maybe the cemetary can be the resting place for deceased witches and warlocks that had spells that gone wrong or met their match when up against a more powerful entity. That would be kind of a unique idea. Should have some fun coming up with tombstone epitaphs.
I'm definitely going to follow your thread.

Our witch prop is a big hit every year with the kids and parents alike. Classic Halloween!
I think having one in a cemetery would be neat and while we use ours in a separate scene, I've toyed with putting her in the graveyard as a focal point. Looking forward to updates.

I was thinking about a hut too. So could you post the measurements please.

I don't have the exact measurements figured out yet, I was just messing around to see what I can come up with, but when I put the plan together I will draw up a detailed document with measurements. I'm going to make it so it just bolts together and comes apart for easy storage. I need to find a whole bunch of pallets now or some weathered lumber for the sheeting of it. I will keep everyone updated, and I'm sure I will ask you all a lot of questions.

She will look great I can tell...lol can't wait to see some pics. I'm still holding out to build my first FCG this year instead of the witch but that doesn't mean I won't build one later.
The haunted shack is a stellar idea BTW.
