Here's a look at the process for putting this tombstone together. First, Google research for married couple tombstones. The Buchanan's were an actual item in the day except her name was Euphemia and not Belle.

    The pieces cut out.

The names are indented into the foam. I tried burning in the names, but it gave too much of a cartoon look to the lettering. Back to the exacto knife at 45 degree angle.

Here, I have marked the border for the names and outside border that will have a bevel.

Snow foam storm alert! The Dremel routing begins. Messy...

On goes the arched top and weighted down. The foam really wanted to pop back up.

    Coated in Drylok.

Tea staining with watered down Home Depot "Oops" paint, and then dry brushed. Here are a few close ups of the result.

Thank goodness, once the painting was dry, it didn't appear to be an over sized ice chest in the end. The angel is a 50% off Rite-Aid Spring Garden Clearance item.
