Well since I'm working at a restaurant (japanese hibachi/sushi restaurant) I've discovered something that we were just throwing away... ginjo bake (cold sake) bottles!

The back part just peels off and the front part can be scraped off rather easily... leaving you with a 4" frosted bottle. ...definitely will be awesome to make some potion bottles out of them, just take the top off and replace it with a cork top or something. ...anything else someone could think about using this for? ...oh and it's 10 oz, which we sell for $20 a bottle.

Potion bottles are a great idea! You could use some as candle holders. Or how about upside down for old IV bottles?

I'm at a total lost of what to use those for other than potion bottles. At 4" tall, that really limits things I think. Great find! With them being frosted, it would be cool to do a thinned down wash of paint inside. You could do a bunch of different colors and make it look like various potions. The frost would hide the fact that there was actually nothing inside. :-)

Hey, when I have enough if someone would pay for postage I would be more than willing to send em for free... I mean, they just throw them away. But, I'm just glad to find something cool (and free) from work.

You could use a glass\tile bit and drill a hole in the bottom or at the lower back side and insert a small 10 light strand inside and paint a scence with glass paint on them. I have seen a lot of them done and they are really pretty. that could add to your potion bottle collection and light that area up on a shelf.

I would be interested in paying shipping for some if you get some extra bottles. I would only need about 5. Just let me know. Thanks!
