I was recently approached by a fellow haunter about making an battery operated candelabra for her that would be able to have low light bulbs but that could also flash on command. I was thinking of ripping a disposable camera apparent and then just cutting wire holes to run the power to the flash bulbs that I would attach below the normal low light bulbs...but I was wondering if anybody out there with knowledge of bulbs and capaciters would be able to give other insight as far as being able to feed a low current to the bulb and then a burst from the capaciter to give the flash from the same bulb. Any input would be a great help.

What about a strobe light? They even make battery operated ones.

Here's a battery-operated strobe that's designed to clip on your belt. Should be easy to hide in a candelabra, and add a switch to flip it on.
