Surprise Air Blown Window

This year I am going to add something like this to my haunted house.

I have learned over the years that all of the animated props take so much work but scare few. Not to mention maintenance from year to year to keep them working. Yes they are impressive but, most people look at them and say, wow that is cool.

In 2009, the thing that scared people the most was me coming out from behind a fake wall with my SPFX mask. It brough many a teenager to screams and tears.

This year, I am opting for the scare factor with stuff like the window.

I already have all of the pneumatic parts and sensors. Basically, just blow some are through a solenoid trigger by a motion sensor.

All I need to do is build a fake window and use one of my existing zombie statues.

I will keep you posted on the build but it should be very easy.

I wonder if you can get the same result with just a strong fan on a trigger? Then you wouldn't have to mess with a compressor or any of the pneumatics.

How are you going to drown out the hissing sound of the air pushing the curtain. I know a scream could do it but will have to be loud, that much air pushing is also gonna be loud.
