    Creeepy shades for windows
    #1
    Guest Guest

Since it's cold outside, I needed something to do inside. Made a Creeepy roller shade for my window. It actually is a very dark stained- look in real life. Going to have lace curtains behind them and my Boards on the outside. Tried to do a more decorative, Victorian look, but didn't work out. Artist I'm not. 1 down, 13 more to go. What do y'all think? Thanks for lookin'
Please ignore fat dog in window.

thank you, Kymmm! It's not a real roll up shade; couldn't find any cheap ones. I used Elmer's foam board (in stationary/ craft dept @ Walmart). I found some very old (and brittle) wallpaper at the thrift shop and glued the back side, face up onto the foam board. I used the rings (that your keys go on) for the pull down after I spray painted it. The ring is attached with twine, also spray painted. I ducted taped the twine onto the back. Then I velcroed it to the inside of my window.
    thanks, again!

The Lab in the window really creaps me out... he wants to lick me to death.

nice effect with the pull down shade. I like that it is made with cheap parts and not hard to make. The fat dog in the window is a nice touch. Is he supposed to scare the gouls away? Looks more like he will lick to gouls and wag the tail.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

That looks great! Good use of cheap materials, and thanks for telling us how it was done.

Thank You everyone for the wonderful comments. Y'all are too kind.
and yes, my Lab will lick you to death. Sweetest dog I've ever owned. Not the best- that would be my German Shepherd.

Looks great! Are yo going to make them all identical or are you going to do different effects?
I was just thinking of a couple different effects, looking at the torn one you made. How about a little blood splatter or even a burnt look?
