Hey Folks! I run my yard haunt using an eight channel event timer which disppays eight different scenes/props one at a time (for 10 seconds each) by providing power. First question, how can I make a fog machine produce fog immediately when it is powered on? Second question, how can I make a CD or mp3 player starting playing immedaitely when it is powered on---the ones I have need to be reset anytime the power goes off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You don't want to power on and off the fog machine. Instead, you should trigger the control switch. This method works great, and you can hook the relay up to any kind of controller you want (assuming the voltage is appropriate) It Came From the GARAGE OF EVIL!! :: Tech :: PROP-1 101 :: Using a relay to control a fog machine

The fog machine needs to heat up, so it can not produce fog when it is first turned on. It looks like the link above should help.
Its the most HORRIBLE time of the year.
