I would just try different suppliers and ask if they have any that is expired and see if you can get a good deal.

How does latex expire? I have gallons here though one kept at room temp has a pink tinge againt the outside of the container which I assume is some kind of bacteria. What I do as I use it and it begins to thicken is add water, and a couple capfulls of amonia and shake vigorously... seems to work.

I like Fright Theatre. By the way, they also sell jute netting (erosion cloth, dorp): Fright Theatre

Ebay is the best bet. But I just did a search and the guy I got mine from isn't selling atm probably due to the cold weather probably. With shipping I got it at around 28.00 per gallon so you may have to wait for the weather to warm.

I've been searching for latex as well right now, and the best price I've seen lately is from Frightprops.

I can speak of the quality in a week or so after it arrives.

LOL yeah I saw those too. I think it's more fun in the off season.

I did my search as "liquid latex", and refined it on the left under "crafts". Only 8 hits atm.

There is a 1 gallon for sale with shipping at about 45.00, one of the buyers I got from before, but I've also gotten it for less (maybe it was another seller). But again we are in colder months and some may not risk shipping it this time of year (liquid latex freeze... bad).

My last shipment from him was not as pictured but sent in a reused milk gallon with electrical tape around the cap. One of the gallons did break but each was sealed in a heavy plastic bag, and so none dried and I lost very little. He does take precautions which I appreciate and I was still satisfied. It was a little more watery than say the thicker "molders" latex in the 16oz jar from Hobby Lobby, but I like the thinner stuff for what I do anyway.
