This may get moved as a sales pitch, but I thought y'all might want to check out some these guys animatronic videos of their stuff for inspiration.

    Heck I'm inspired.

Scarefactory is AWESOME!!! We went to MHC in 2008, and got to tour the Scarefactory facilty. I seriously considered moving to Columbus to get a job there. I really look forward to the "The Dark Zone" at Transworld every year, to see their new creations.

Really beautiful ideas there. I liked the leaping bat and the grand piano myself. I also like the idea of the trophy deer leaping out of the wall. The thing that doesn't work for me though is for a good unexpected scare the props would have to move much faster than they do with the pneumatics for my tastes. Otherwise I think I would tend to laugh like I did with the deer. I really like their creativity and how the props look though. Man if money only grew on trees....

At the IAPPA show a few months ago they had some new stuff. It was mostly pirate themed. Some of the characters were right out of the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Disney only with a rotted corpse theme and were really well done. Their animatronics are getting much more complex every year. I am hoping they do more than a pirate theme when they display at the Transworld show. Most people don't do pirates but the ones who do will will be thrilled. Here is a video with most of the pirate stuff on it.

    YouTube - Iaapa Pirates

The video was not shot by me. I did shoot some video but this person's is much better. There were too many people in the way in my vid and you can't see much.
