Thought I'd mention that I just ordered one of each of these Battery Snaps which I found on Perpetual Kid's website to try out. I'm thinking maybe a simple, quick LED light for use in my haunt for those hard to reach places. I liked that the $5 version has an "on/off" switch and both products came in a "black" version also. Has anyone else bought these?

It is worth a try. Let us know how it turns out. There are places in a haunt that are hard to light.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

I light up 8 LED's with a 9 volt battery. The same battery has lasted for 3 years! It's only lit for 3 hours every Halloween though.
So those should work very well!! You can use a little piece of lighting gel to change the color! Actually you might be able to take it apart and put a different color LED in it, including ultraviolet for blacklight applications!!!

Test photos of 9v Battery Snaps products –
02-15-2010,05:56 PM
Just received my order today from Perpetual Kid and couldn't wait to try out the Battery Snaps products. Here's the test photos I put in my album (more details there). The Battery Snaps Flex-Lite was approximately 2 feet from the gravestone (this light is position in the center of the pictures). The photos were taken in the dark with my iPhone (not particularly super at nighttime photos) and are untouched. The single-LED Battery Snaps was used to light the skull and sign.

Seems to work nice. Just wish they came in color.

Just add a colored gel over the bulb lens area –

I ordered a Rosco Roscolux colored gel sampler/swatchbook from B&H Photo Video store out of NYC (actually ordered 2 samplers, one to cut up and one to keep as a color reference; BTW max order on this item is qty 2) and will cut and use the sample gels over my LED lamps to add color to the Battery Snaps and other LED lamps I have as Toymaker mentioned above in his post. The sample size should cover a few of my smaller lamps and the sampler will provide a wide range of filter colors to choose from.
B&H is a good company to buy from and the sampler is an inexpensive route to go. If you find a color you want to use in a larger format, the gels also come in sheets for a reasonable price. Rolls are also available. B&H only seems to carry Rosco gels in a few blues ($6.50) but other theatrical lighting companies carry a wider assortment of colors (ie. Legends Theatrical has them in sheets for $7). Since B&H has such reasonable sampler pricing and shipping charges I'm happy to recommend them.
I'll post some updated photos with a few gels applied sometime next week.

Any updates on how the gels worked?
