Never ever take apart or mod any fog machine. (besides the remotes) I had a couple broken ones so dumb me decided to take one apart. I used my air compressor to blow the fog juice threw the heater because it made a huge mass of fog. But I ripped off the warming sensor. The heater got red hot and liquified in a couple of seconds to my garage floor. Good thing nobody was hurt and nothing but the fog machine was ruined. But just a Warning don't play with fog machines.

I've successfully cleaned and repaired a couple of my foggers with no problems. I always check the wiring connections when taking one apart and make sure I don't break anything. Same goes during reassembly. Sorry to hear that yours melted down; those heaters can get very hot if running uncontrolled.

Well I wasn't really trying to fix it but I still think it shouldn't be done if you are inexperienced with electronics, repairing.etc

Glad you weren't hurt (or burned the place down). I guess there must be a lot of heat in those units.

When I saw the inside electronics of my two non-working Rosco foggers (very expensive years ago when I bought them) I just wrapped the cords around them and filed them away.
They looked like a transistor radio, very mysterious...."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

ive taken apart my vh fogger 2 times already, once was just a internal fuse and the other time the pump plugged up.im glad I did it, it was an ez fix,not to mention saved money! I have to agree though, if you dont have the "fog-e-est" idea, have it fixed by a pro if it an expensive model, cheap ones run em till they die,an get a new one.
whats your name?I couldnt hear it very well last night when i was hiding under your bed!
Mommy! Mommy! I dont want to see Grandma!.. and she would scream back" shut up and keep digging!"

What gets me with the cheap ones is they are shut off more than they are ready and that's after you wait forever for them to heat up.
I miss my Roscos, they were wonderfull, very predictable, quick heating."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"
