Just browsing the internet and a buddy of mine told me to check out McMaster.com for Pneumatics parts, such as air cylinders, and solenoids, etc. Just wondering if anyone has ordered from McMaster.com?
The solenoid valves I was thinking of ordering is part number 7877K53. Would this be okay? Any advice?

I've used them quite a bit. The prices are reasonable, the shipping is very good and I haven't had any problems with the quality of the merchandise. Just wondering why you are using that valve. Price? It is a small and compact valve but with 1/8" ports you won't get a whole lot of flow versus a 3/8" valve. Have you tried monster guts or some of the others that advertise on this forum? that's just a thought , not trying to discourage your choice. As I said McMaster Carr is a good source for a lot of different parts that are almost always rated for industrial use. Hope tis helps.

I have used them for many years. You will get a great product, very quickly. They also stand behind what they sell. this is a HUGE operation, not something run out of a basement. Having said that, thier prices while reasonable, are commercial prices and you can sometimes find better deals.
Good Luck

The valves I have used were all based upon the application. If I needed more flow I went with a larger valve, if flow wasn't a major issue I would go with a smaller valve. For my applications I have a 60 gallon tank and has 12 cfm @ 100 psi. I don't use any auxiliary tanks. As Plainfield Dan said you will get a good part and very good service from them.
