Thread: sorry its late, but my 2009 haunt.

Firstly a big thanks to everyone on here, without the inspirations i would not have made anything as good as i did.

the following two videos (sorry i havn't figured out how to embed them yet) show my haunt in wakefield, west yorkshire, england.

to be honest i don't think the videos or pictures really do it justice, it was a bit better than it looks.

now for some stats/comments.....

i believe it was the best in Wakefield (by some distance)
everyone who came was impressed (or at least thats what they said)

we had 175 tots at the door (side door of house) (prior to this we used to get about 70)
+ about 10-15 others who would not come into the "tunnel of terror"
+ 2 or 3 who wouldn't come into garden!!!!

we had 3 groups of 10 or more tots together. most of who had pictures taken of themselves in the graveyard. (we actually thought that one group were stealing something, as we saw them come into the garden, and they didn't knock on the door - they were having their photos taken!!)

the video and photos were taken at a pre-halloween party (friday 30th) for friends and family (about 40 people), hence the back yard. the tunnel was enclosed on halloween except for hte entrance.

comment that made me feel the best.....
from a work colleague "i thought it was going to be a bit naff, but it is actually quite good"

i had a blast on halloween night, but i will post something about that later.

if anyone has any comments on improvements i am open to citicism, although i will post a list of what i thought worked/didn't work that may assist others.

Nice job on your haunt. I really like the area with all the static props with the mask starring at you. It is creepy! The ground breaker and the witch are very cool also.

I think you did a great job. love the enclosure on the side of your house, that was a nice touch. your courtyard is a ready made graveyard with your brick wall and columns...
