Both of these motors were from a movie poster in a theater:
YouTube- Pimp My Prop - Mechanism for making a skeleton hand move
    YouTube- P1000626

My daughter couldn't wait to tear up the graveyard!

Near the end of the video it looks like the small motor in front of the skeleton has a crank pulling a string tied to the skelly's hand.

It is only January - my brain is already full of great ideas thanks to Halloween Forum!!
Looks like 2010 is gonna have to be Motor Time at our haunt!! I REALLY need to learn more about movement! It makes your haunt so great! Thanks for sharing! The movement is sooo subtle - it is perfect!

Sorry so long to post, but my work computer blocks Blogs and Forums! Humph!

The motor has a cut coat hanger wire attached to it and the pinky finger of the skeleton. I had it lit with a spotlight so the movement showed. Many people came and just stared at the moving props! I don't have any pictures because my computer had an accident and I lost everything from 09 Haunt except what I had uploaded onto YouTube and my Haunt Website... (

My hubby rigged the wire elngth so as not to be seen easily and he mounted the motor onto the wood. Other than that, the motor is just how we got it. Because the motor was out of the spotlight range, no one could really see it. It made a little noise but no one was really noticing.
