Hello Halloween Forum-ers I was talking with my dad earlier today(not a haunter but a mechanic who has great ideas) and he mentioned the idea of a projection onto a mist screen in a haunt, that as the patrons walk up to it the projection stops, yet they are inthe middle of a cool mist cloud, thus replicating a paranormal "cold spot". Any ideas, suggestions, comments? Any input at all would be helpful. Thanks and Happy Haunting!!

Found this for ya. Looks like a fog chiller piped into horizontal hood with fans directing the airflow down.

The fog is the right idea, I use to watch a show called "Prototype This" on the science channel and the tried the projection onto mist thing. They were only trying to use water as a medium and couldn't unless it was a full sheet of it. The fog would work great, the only issue is you would need to sync the fogger with the video unless you can get a continuous fogger for it.

Wow! Those are some great effects.

I'm guessing dry ice in the fog chiller?

Is it the fog machine that is making all the noise?

I think some CPU fans would run nice and quiet, while still pushing a great deal of fog in the desired direction.

Any idea where the images are coming from? I know it's a projector, but are the animations from a DVD? Or is it something this DIYer illustrated himself?

This has been discussed before, but only one or two people have pulled it off. I'd be interested to see how this goes for you.
