Has anyone ever used a 'Steampunk' theme in their haunt or built any props ? I really like the look and all the cool gears and gadgets ect. I was thinking of making some props along those lines.

Actually I have started an idea in my haunt for a few of us to do Steampunk characters this October. There is a site I signed up for called Instructables that show some projects and show you how to craft them. Most of them are accessories.

One haunt on "Americas Haunts" had a steam punk area and had some steam punk chick on a propane or air gattling gun. House of torment had an abomination character that had metal braced arm things that were steam punkish. Post apocalyptic and steam punk can kinda blend with eachother if you think about it.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside of us

I did a little bit. In fact, made a tutorial on how to paint anything to give it that old metal steampunk look: Painting Faux Metal - Steampunk

wow those look great! I like steampunk! This year had some very steampunkish things in the haunt. not everywhere though, focused in specific rooms with the more industrial themes...

"Steam Punk" So many of the things I build already were steamed or punked or both!
The Fear-Degossing Chamber I built (and has held 11 people in it, with the door latched!) is going to receive some more work. I had been saving some old boiler gauges from my Dad's shop sale and they will look good mounted on the outside, along with all that old armoured cable I knew I didn't want to throw away. (for some unknown reason)
I have always made things out of other old things that others throw away. Of course those with little or no imagination may be critical of saving such items, but nobody is making them anymore!
A man told me he made things like I do too, but that for some reason, his stuff didn't turn out looking as good as mine did?
I reassured him, all he needed was a bigger pile of junk to pick through!"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

Terra - awesome pics!
I love steampunk, but haven't done much in the way of Halloween props. I've seen some pretty incredible stuff tho that could be considered unintentionally steampunk.I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002
