Ok, so I tried to make a paper mache pumpkin. My first real time working with mache (only other time I worked with it, was with a skull, but I left the skull inside, so it was straight forward). I used the Stolloween "Trash Bag" Method, and It turned out alright. I noticed a few things I did wrong with the paper mache, so Ill try an perfect those few minor things next time. Honestly, how does it look?

Try putting more depth into your initial form. I find that stuffing a bunch of plastic grocery bags gives you a good base form, but then use masking tape to define the pumpkin segments.

The more time you put into the initial form, the greater the strength and appearence of the final product.

One mistake I made, is that, I was anxious, and I took out the Form before the Paper Mache was fully dry, and it sort of crumpled. I tried my best to put it back into shape, but I couldn't really, so it looks sort of square.

the ribs on the pumpkin is very important. I think adding ribs will help you a lot.

Come to think of it, I only filled a trash bag with newspaper, never even used twine for ribs or masking tape to hold the shape, so I'm suprised to even ended up like it did. I guess I'll better prepare for the next one (I the trash bag prepared for a second, with twine for ribs, masking tape to keep it all in place, and some molding clay. I'll take my time on this one)
