1. Can you use water based acrylic paints? If not then what paints would i use?
2. i dont see how the air would shoot the paint.
3. Good cleaning tips?
4. A good PSI should run at (its says 15-50 PSI)

I might be alittle off as I use a gravity feed airbrush, but my compressor I bought from harbor freight puts out about a constant 30 psi. The way yours works is the nozzle blows air past the nozzle of the paint. This creates a vaccum effect that sucks the paint out, then this is mixed with the burst of air. I use airbrush acrylics from Michaels and they are great, but you can use acrylics. Just make sure to clean it totally and not get lazy. I lost 3 airbrushes from being lazy when I use to be into RC cars. Then I upgraded to a Badger Anthem all metal, if you don't clean it. The paint dries and you can peal it off the needle and everything.
You are going to wonder how lived without an airbrush, there is now going back!
I've actually seen someone take a mcdonalds cup, then take an air compressor hose and blow air across the straw. They were able to spray the crap out of this kid, this works the same way.

I agree. My airbrush is also from HF. I will advance to a better one when I get used to this. Right now I'm not spraying a lot.
You should like the one you have. There are many uses for it.

I tend to use alittle bit of windex as thinner when using acrylics, especially when doing fine detail work like getting textures and tints on things. If you do go to a gravity feed, get a Badger. I know everyone will throw out names of $200+ guns, but a Badger is reliable and parts are available at Michaels for them. And if you do use it inside, wear a dust mask. Fumes wont kill you, but the shock of black and orange boogers will. Since you inhale the paint alittle, you get tie dye boogers and they are creepy.

Wow Terra , that looks fantastic. Time for me to take out my airbrush. Mine's a HF one too but the metal one. Used it once just to see how it works. Most of my props need a big air sprayer so I don't have much use for an airbrush.
