    Loved Halloween ever since I can remember and I am particularly intrigued by Halloween projections such as Hallowindow, Grim Grinning Ghosts, others etc.

    I am looking for suggestions on different projectors under $300. At that price I am thinking they will be used and not new. Specific suggestions would be nice such as Make and Model, Lumins etc. I saw some on eBay such as Infocus X?.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    I have been interested in this LED projector but have not purchased one and cannot attest to its effectiveness. But weather-tight with 2GB of onboard flash for under $200? Might be worth further investigation.

    Thanks for the reply. That projector was mentioned in another thread UltraProjector and didn't seem to work too well unfortunately. Any other suggestions from anyone?

    Thanks.

    if you can go just a bit higher (around $334) the "Sanyo PLC-XW60 Ultra Portable LCD Projector" works really well. That's what I purchased for last Halloween and used with Hallowindow on a double wide front window. It's highly rated, very bright and reliable.

    What ever projector you get you need to check the throw distance. I used a projector from work and to get a image big enough to do my whole window for hallowindow I had to put it into the closet and even then it was a couple inches short.

    You can probably check out craigslist for a projector for a couple hundred but make sure they turn it on so you can see the bulb is working because those can cost a couple hundred by themselves.

    Just curious where you found that prices for the projector. Not even finding it in stock at amazon. Thanks for the heads up on the model though.

    All lamps. Not projectors. Found the same results. that's why I was curious where you got yours for that price.

    Well, scratch that suggestion. A bulb costs $50 less than I payed for the projector from B&H in October. And that projector does appear to be discontinued. B&H still has the bulbs for $179 but when mine goes the cost will probably have dropped to where a new unit will be cheaper than a bulb.

    I found this link handy for calculating the throw distance;
