hey ya'll, I started working on a grave yard caretaker. My plan is to have a life size caretaker in my yard next year looking over my graveyard. I know it's been done to death here but I wanted to try my hand after being inspired by "The Bride". I cant do as good of a job as she did but here we go.

here is what it started out as.......a Styrofoam wig head, seemed like a good choice.

then it progressed to this, tape and newspaper to form the base. I do a little better with tape and paper then celluclay.

I have started adding the Creative Paperclay tonight as suggested by many people here on this forum, I have never worked with this type od stuff before.

I have never done anything like this before so please excuse the not very good aspect of it so far. I will need to go back over it in some areas to fix parts.

Looks really good to me too! I've never tried using celluclay or paperclay before, but I'd like to.

I like the celluclay. My only complant is that it tends to separate from the cerface and can crack as it drys.

Great start! I want to do one this year but haven't started him yet. Where did you get the eyes on the table? I've been looking but can't find a good source.

Looking great. I have almost 10 of thoses heads. I want to try something similar too in 2010. I feel stupid asking, but what is paperclay? Is it like papier machee? Today, I was planning to organise the garage but at minus 20, too cold!! Sadly, I think I will be only able to work on projects only in spring...

    well.......thank you everyone

the two eyes that do not have the blood-shot look, my sister got on ebay, they are too small tho for this application, they arent 1:1 scale unless you are modeling a child, so I had to make my own from ping pong balls, easy eye's pupils, gloss clear nail polish, and red yarn blood vessels.
