Nice...
I'll bet that produces a few screams when she spins around....

wow! I like that! glad I saw it, too. am in the process of building a mourner. Unfortunately it will be static, but I like the sobbing sound; may work that in.

This was my favourite prop I saw on a TLC special (or Home&garden channel) I saw this year on the best halloween houses in US and I am pretty sure it showed some of the house of people on this site. After that show, I realised Canadians had nothing compared to Americans (from what I seen in person..). I rewatched that show like 5 times just to see all the details of the many cool insane props. I thought I was nuts spending a few hundreds per year on Halloween before, people telling me we were the most extreme they eveer seen. When I see people spend thousands and the props they build, compare to us, I feel somehow very very beginner... But watch out next year!!!!!!!! I learned already tons because of this site, I plan to double my stuff for next year! Mhammhammha!!!!!! (I hope soo..)

Thanks for all the wonderful comments, this is a fun prop with a "twist"! but I can't take credit for it. The prop is the work of Brent at Devious Concoctions and you can get plans for this and some of his other props from his DC Prop Builders Handbooks Vol1 and 2. As such I can't do a formal how to but here are some naked pics if it. The rotation is accomplished by a pneumatic rotary actuator I got off ebay, the other cylinders and solenoids are from our friend Dean at Monster guts. and as mentioned eariler the controller is from Fright Ideas, Pico Boo 104. Some of the joints are welded but the plans were to drill and bolt the entire unit ( a lot of drilling if you don't have a welder)
