I'm so blown away by the great animated props I see in theses threads I'm almost afraid to post my poor efforts! I just have a non-moving, stuck around the yard kind of display right now but hope to step it up a bit for 2010!

I've got to say that I think your monsters were awesome! You did a great job of positioning them too to look more lifelike! Great job!

I think they look great! I just made my first animated prop this year. I followed the tutorial to make a wolf from an animated Christmas deer. So I guess I kind of cheated since it was already animated. But it was very easy and everyone loved it. I plan on attempting a tombstone peeper next year using the motor from the other animated deer we have. I can't wait to see some of your 2010 creations.

Thanks guys! Kimber, I like your idea, take something already animated and adapt it to my Halloween purposes, seems like a great way to get my feet wet in the moving prop arena

you hit that on the head! I really liked the guy sitting in the tree, he kinda made me think he was 1/2 bat 1/2 pig! Did you have music?

I didn't have music this year. I was really last minuting the whole thing. I always set up the yard monsters at our martial arts school Halloween party and this year it was the night before Halloween. Just had time to get them home, repaired (they don't travel well) and in the yard for the big night. Then it rained and I had to move them all to the front porch! Music and motion in 2010!

Very awesome. The snake around the devil's neck and the pig man in the tree are fantastic ideas.

PS: What's the name of the song in the video? I like it!
