    Hello,

I was looking to get one of these newer LCD micro projectors for someone for Christmas and thought about maybe getting one for myself for maybe doing a "Madame Leota" or something similar for Halloween 2010.

Has anyone used any type / style / brand of these micro projectors and can recommend a good one?

I found several mentioned on this site in numerous threads ... but no one ever posted that they had actually test and used any of them.

I found these: AAXA P1 Pico projector on sale from the Pico Website www.aaxatech.com on sale now for $219 NEW ... these have a 1GB built in memory card and or can be run from any video source, dvd, etc, even an Ipod / iTouch / iPhone!

Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on good units or even the one listed above? Thanks.

The resulution is not that great and 12 Lumens are not very bright.
Most projectors are 1000 lumens or more.

Here are some images of the pico projectors. Granted that the lumen strength isn't like the many of the digital pjs we see nowadays but for the application (madame leota, buzz lightyear, singing busts) it should do just just fine, if not better than expected.

The short answer: Given its small size, plus you can double its use as bedroom or even backyard ht, a pico or LED pj should be considered when go to the next level of high tech halloween presentations
