I got hooked on the circus theme after last halloween and will be including it in my haunt this coming year. It seems to be a popular theme with others as well. I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can post about various circus props we can make or buy.

Here's something I found over at THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW EXISTED, on sale too for under $5. I'm planning on using them in the concession tray that my circus-modified "baseball vendor" prop (from Walmart this past year) will be selling to the crowd. I bought a few for convenience sake but certainly this should be easy enough to make yourself.

Creep Cuts -- Eyes and Fries (popcorn eyes drizzled in blood and finger fries that are "finger" licking good).

Ooooo, I like this thread! I want to do a circus theme next year and need lots of ideas. If anyone has pics of their circus party, I'd love to see them.

Here's a 25 Light G40 Multi Colored Bulb strand that I found at BIG LOTS last week that I bought to use in my circus theme. Includes flasher bulb, extra clear lamps (super bright), fuses. Series circuit. Uses 5 Volt 0.5 W lamps. Strand rated 12 W. Connect up to 17 sets of same product. $10. Indoor/Outdoor Use. UL listed. The colored covers are yellow, green, blue, red, magenta/purple. Bulb base is green with clip, wires are green. Colored covers are approximately 1-1/2 inches in diameter.

I bought a big python last year, either rubber or latex can't remember, and am thinking of using it for a Snake Lady prop.

BTW if you are interested in the finger fries or eyeball popcorn that I posted about above, I just saw that THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW EXISTED will be having a Black Friday sale--additional 25% off all sale merchandise which these items were. Offer ends 11/29. They have quite a bit of other Halloween items as well in the sale area. Click on the promo on the home page, and then on "Scary Halloween Things".

How bright? not quite sure how to answer that.

As mentioned above, the clear inside light strand lamp "or bulb" is rated 5v 0.5W, which is considered "super bright" as far as Xmas light strands are concerned. Obviously the colored globe cuts down some of the white light but I'm pleased with the light emitted.

If you have a BIG LOTS nearby, see if someone there will let you plug the strand into one of their outlets there so you can see before buying. My stores have done that on a several occasions for me when I've asked. BL also will let you return purchases for cash or credit I'm pretty sure within a specified time frame. I have seldom returned anything so not 100% sure what their policy is on returns.

    Hope that helps.
