I have three important tools to add. I would rank these as being in the top 5 most needed. They are such common items that I think sometimes they are overlooked, but any list of what's needed would be incomplete without them.

Haha, I know this will make you chuckle, I am now myself, but I have found I use these 3 tools more than most others!

    1) A chair
    2) A broom
    3) A dustpan/brush set

I work with a lot of styrofoam sheets/blocks and spray foam and these materials produce a big mess when you cut and shape them. I find myself brushing off my workspace many times working on individual pieces.
I try to avoid using power tools for anything but big cuts or pieces so I usually take a bit longer to get them done. Having a chair is definitely a must.

If you aren't making a mess, you aren't doing it right!

Also, Latex house paints black, reds, greens, yellows, grays, pretty much whatever you can find at stores in their mistake/accident/discard bin, cable TV/ DVD player, boom box, saw horses are a must! laptop with internet access, Lots of zipties, and a ShopVac!

Wish list for once you get a garage: Gas garage heater (for cold weather locations), spot lights for night work, a garage door screen (for warm nights) to keep the bugs out, a mini fridge, and a Urinal lol!

You asked about a prop project ... Here is a simple one that can be adapted to any scene in which you think you'd like to have a fire. All you need is a sheet of thin plywood - any size you want, some lights, spray expanding foam, wiffle balls, a hot glue gun and less than a small bottle of gray acrylic paint.

That's funny, I've already asked for one this year. We'll see if I get it.
