Yes I'm making a mold from a plastic skull. I've put three layers on it still seem to been thin. I'm using mold builder.

I would check out UnOrthodOx's how to. Here is the link:

Looks like he is your mold builder go-to guy.

Depends on how thin you applied the layers. I always go with 1 thin layer on first. the 2nd layer goes on thick, and the third gets some cheese cloth reinforcement. I'ld do a 4th layer if you're worried, and do the cheese cloth reinforcement to help it keep it's shape when you are casting.

A more in depth tutorial on just molds I did (linked to in the article scourge posted as well) is located here:

"Glove" Mold Making 101 - Halloween Forum

Starts out with a small mold, and moves on to full size, and on through plaster casting and coloring of each.

Did you remember to use some kind of mold release? That's important if you did not.

Sounds like it was not completely dry. IDEALLY, I like to sit mine in the dashboard of my car in the middle of summer to 'bake' just before removing the mold. The eyes are always the last place to dry it seems. Where they still a bit milky on the inside? One thing I've done when running into that situation is to pull out a hair dryer if the eyes are sticking and milky, and shoot it into the eye sockets for an hour or so before removing. (I have my own used hair dryers, a wife/mom/sister may not take kindly to the abduction of her stuff, just saying...)
