I picked up a Halloween light show system from Spirit for half off the day after. I was thinking that I could also use it for Xmas this year. I have not opened the box yet to look at the unit but it seems like it should work. My only concern is snow. Has any one done this. I know people have used the Xmas ones for Halloween but there is no snow to deal with. I think the only thing I would have to do is get a different mp3 player so my good one does not get ruined. Any way if any one has any advice or info I would appreciate it very much. I am going to open up the box and play with the system to get familiar with it. Thanks

I would think it would be the same for the Halloween Box. I'm not sure if the Christmas box can stay outside in the weather or not. I have a Mr. Christmas light box, but I always brought it inside at night.
Do the instructions with the Halloween box say anything to that effect?? That it's OK to stay out in the rain, etc.??

put it in a large plastic bin and cut holes for the wires on the sides..it should be fine.
If it has 2 heads- it will eat you twice as fast!

The Mr. Christmas light show box I purchased for my parents last year said, prominently on the box, "indoor/outdoor use". They had it out from Thanksgiving to New Years in rain and show, and it worked fine.

If the Halloween box is "indoor only", I'd buy a plastic sterilite container with a snap fit lid, bolt it to a stake or the side of the house so that it's off the ground (at least a foot, more if you have deep snow there), cut out a big hole in the end that's on the bottom to allow the cords to go in/out, put the Halloween box inside, and call it "indoor/outdoor".
