I bought this tombstone from Spirit after Halloween. It was damaged so I got it for $5. I thought it needed to stand out more so I did a makeover. LMK what you think!

After (that's my dog Bear in the pic):
I had to make the skull glow in the dark!

It's a matter of personal preference, but I like my tombstones to look realistic. Accordingly, I wouldn't highlight the letters quite as dramatically in black. I'd tone it down with dark gray, so you can read the letters without them looking painted on.

Did the furry Tombstone peeper in behind also come from Spirit? LOL!
Now all you need for the tombstone is the weathering (teastaining as Terra calls it)!"Look Honey, they have... uhm... 'Dead People' in the backyard!"
"Your body's dying. Pay no attention, it happens to all of us!"

Good job mementomori. It will stand out in the dark now but I agree with Mr. Grimsley that a little dry brush weathering will really make it look authentic.
