    Multiple Projector Displays and Chaos

    Hi All,

For next year I want to do 4 multiple displays using projectors, hallowindow, grim grinning ghosts, scream TV, and one other. My question is with all of them running at once the sound is going to overlap each other and probably sound chaotic.

I know this is going to sound contradictory to my concerns above but I don't want to pause the "show" by doing them one at a time with controllers. I am hoping to run them all at once.

My thoughts are lets say I have 4 projector props running, maybe there is a sound controller out there that can lower (not stop) the sound of the other 3 while the 1 projector prop takes "center stage" sound wise but having higher volume.

Any thoughts on how to orchestrate something like this?

    Thanks for your input.

Depends on how close each of them are to the rest...... but as to the sounds levels, you should be running sound out from the source (dvd player audio out) to an amp or stereo receiver, therefore be able to control audio on each.
if you are doing a couple of window projections then that may overlap your sound effects audio. The grim grinning ghost are going to be projected on pumpkins, then you may be able to seperate that one with the speakers nearest the ToTers so thye can hear it. Sounds like you would have to do some trial runs with the them to see if you can tweak the audio so they are not too mudded. you may only be able to have a couple with audio & the other 1 or 2 just visual in the background.........
When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

I did 4 projectors on my brother's display a few years ago. The trick is volume control- just loud enough at each display area but not loud enough to overtake each other.

i actually had a 5th projector for ghost images on the house but the circuit breaker couldn't take it (Remember, its like having 5 blow dryers at high speed, not including all the other lighted stuff)
