I was cleaning up the front yard, putting things away and whatnot. The Skulls are all concrete, and will stay in the garden during the growing season, to help soak up heat during the day and release it in the evening. Keeps the tomato's happy, the skulls with the hole all the way through will have hot peppers growing out of them.. to ID the hot peppers. {Bhut Julokia.. ghost peppers. The hottest pepper on the planet you are standing on}
So this is my Platoon size Unit. Lt. Kenny is the Platoon Commander. Sgt. 1st Class Tree is the ranking NCO. Based upon a platoon Sgt. I had who looked, and sounded exactly like Morgan Freeman.... he had this story about a forest ranger, with trees that were flexible, they didnt break when the wind blew or somesuch.

Where oh where did you find concrete skulls??? (Or molds, I'm not picky!)
Recipe for haunting success-
Artist's eyes, surgeon's hands, and the heart of a child.

I get molds from eBay My World - bwthynbach I have the regular, tealight, and celtic tattoo style.
I asked her to modify the regular to be a tealight candle holder. I have since modified it further, by cutting out the bottom of the tealight holder part.. and the eyes.. then inserting a length of foam "pool noodle" with 1/2 foam backer rod. This results in a hole all the way through, and channels whee the eyes are so you can see candle light through the eye socket. I also use these to mark hot peppers, they are growing out of a skull... so i kinda know which ones they are.

This is very cool I have always thought a pile of skulls would look way cool using these molds could be a great cheap way to do it.

Unfortunate they are smaller. I have been told they look like about the size of the "Lucy" skull.
I dont know why, but its difficult to find full size molds, or at least ones that look very good.
One of these days I might have to sculpt a good one, and make urethane rubber molds. Maybe a tray that does like 6 at once.

I should snap a picture tonight before I pack everything away, my formal living room looks like a charnel house with all the skulls and skeletons piled up.

Very cool.
I'd like to ask where you got the smaller skeletons? They are just as cute as a bug's ear. Okay, they're cuter, but seriously, I could use some of those for next year. All I see everywhere is full-size skellys.You know you have a successful haunt when the ADULT visitors pee their pants.

Kenny is a $10 Skeleton they had at Walmart. Likely if theres any left, they have obnoxious sparkles on them, which can be taken off.
The 12" or so tall skeleton was from Michael's craft center. That one is on the halloween tree. Also on the halloween tree, "bag of bones" [styrofoam] also from Michael's.

Thanks. I'll see if I can pick some up from somewhere. I am sure WalMart has already filled the aisles with "the other holiday" stuff.
