Only 4 nights! Yikes! Was it a manufacturer's defect? What brand?

I think it was a 600 or a 1000 watt.. FICO ? And it had to have to have been a defect..or maybe it was rough handled before it got to me. At that point I couldn't claim it was due to shipping though.
I'll check later today, I still have the bugger in storage.. hoping maybe I can find someone to fix it one day and that 100+ dollar purchase won't be totally in vain. My boss wasn't pleased at all...that the first year I was in charge and many mistakes like that could have meant my job. :/

Has anyone used one of these small ocean projector "pots" that they sell on eBay?
Sea Ocean Projector Pot LED light MP3 Speaker lamp - eBay (item 350276134076 end time Apr-06-10 09:23:33 PDT)
I'm looking for something a bit less commercial, expensive, or high-powered than the projectors already mentioned on this thread. The ability to hook up a MP3 player to these little projectors is a nice option, although I probably won't use it. I'm planning an indoor garage pirate haunt and I want to project a water reflection effect onto the mockup of the side of a ship. I figure I'll probably need two of these projector pots to cover the 20 foot length of the ship. Their small size (roughly 4" x 5" x 4") should make them easily concealed, too.
Any thoughts?

MassMax, I was thinking along the same lines. As I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, I think the Projector Pot would only work well in a really confined area with no other lighting. From the reviews I read, if the room is dark enough, it can be placed on the floor and still illuminate the ceiling well (approx. 6' x 6' coverage). One major problem with this unit is that it has an auto shutoff function that activates after only one hour.
Rather than buying two of these, it might make more sense to spend a bit more for the $99 American DJ Hydro light.

I also wonder if it's a static image or whether it's animated waves.

Ah, sorry Haunter - I skipped the middle part of this thread and missed the nice videos you posted. Thanks for attaching them.
Ghost of Spookie - if you go back to page 3 of this thread, Haunter posted some videos that show the wave animation.
The American DJ Hydro looks like a great, quality device. I'm torn. I'm still tempted to snag one of those little projector pots to try out. The 1-hour shutoff is not a deal breaker for me. I intend to stash the lights some place low and easily accessible, so I can reset them if needed. And I'm looking for an uplighting effect instead of something shining downwards. Plus, I can buy 3 of those pots for less than one DJ Hydro and then space them 6-8 apart for a wider, flatter lit area (lighting the length of my ship hull mockup). Sorry, thinking out loud here...

MassMax, you could always get one of the Projector Pots, test it out and give us a in-depth review, eh?

I still think the American DJ H2O LED projector would create the best effect.

To cool. Looks like a lot of work though. I wouldn't attempt it but I love the clams backing the skull up.
