Very nice. I can see you put a lot of work into this. I am glad the crowds kept coiming. They know a good thing when they see one

Classic stuff! I'm really taken by all of the great pirate displays and your's is at the top of the list. Not many folks go to those lengths to make Halloween enjoyable for others! Well done!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I put a lot of work into this year. Now I need to figure out how to top it for next year!
I built the ship from scratch, based on my own design. I did get a lot of inspiration from this forum. I have pictures of my progress here in this thread.

Wow!! the only thing you left out was the ocean!! Tremendous set up!! I would love to see a video of the 3-axis greeter! Now -- where do you store it all? (Where do ANY of us store things?! LOL)
Could it be time for us to retire our graveyard to the backyard and try a new pirate theme? hmmmm - oh my poor budget.... Thanks for the inspiration!" TO SERVE MAN " ... IT'S A COOKBOOK!"

Funny, that was the most-asked question of the night. We're turning the ship into a playground for the kids, so it'll get relocated somewhere in the backyard. Of course we'll continue to bring it out each Halloween.
The rest of the stuff breaks down and goes into our storage shed (which is pretty much maxed out). This weekend will be largely spent packing everything up. Hopefully it's all dried out by now. The ship is still up in the front. I may have to part with some older props that I don't use, e.g. a whole bag of blucky parts.
I did take footage, but if you've seen my previous videos, you know I spend a fair deal of time editing clips together and re-dubbing the audio. I'll get one together as soon as I can, but it'll be a few weeks before I can sit down and work on it. My uncle took some video too of the crowds, so I want to get my hands on that and incorporate it into the final piece. Stay tuned!

Oh my oh my oh my! Congrats.. that is one super looking setup.
Thank you for sharing. I look forward to your video!
Couple of questions
1)What skeleton do you use.. and how many do you have?
2)The ship is amazing.. how long does it take you do put everything out?
