Just wanted to post a pic of my haunt this year. Modest, but received a lot of compliments from neighbors... the coffin was an awesome aquisition this year... it's an old movie prop from the 1940s that was donated to my local theater company and they had no use for it and offered it to me... real wood with satin lining... just wish I knew which movie it's from.

I've already begun my "expansion list" of projects for next year to make the haunt larger. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

How do you get the boards to stay up on the windows? Are you nailing into the frame or is there some other way to support it. I'd like to do that but my house is brick and there aren't any shutters.
    Muhahaha!!

I made the boards out of thinner sheets of that pink insulation styrofoam, hot-glued them to size, then drew in the grain lines with a pencil tip and painted it. So it's very lightweight. Then I bought a roll of those white velcro dots and put a male/female dot at each corner of the boards and windows. They stayed up all week, even during a pretty windy rain storm.

Wow! Very nice job. They really look like wood boards. Even a few knot holes.
