I have one of those little misting skulls with the tealights...and I have lost the instructions. I am sure that someone here can give me some instructions on how it should work. i know that it's based on water, and have tried putting the misting item in water, but it's not working.

It's hard to say without knowing exactly what you're using, but if it's got a little black....it sorta looks like a big staple....on top, make sure that part is covered in water.

I don't know about the misting skulls, but I found out how to 'fix' the color-changing fogging misters. I worked at Halloween USA this year, and we had one out on display in a small cauldron. The darn thing kept crapping out on us. I found out that just rubbing the lights and all over the mister cleaned off any residue, and it usually started working again. I sometimes had to do this a few times, but for some reason, the little bugger would start working again. Just make sure everything is clean and hopefully it will start working again.
