I've looked at some of the older posts and am wondering if anybody has come up with any new ideas this year about how to get these to work better. As many have said, I'm dissatisfied with the fact that the mist really doesn't come out of the skull or coffin misters...just sort of hovers on the surface or inside the skull.

    Any new suggestions???

If your talking about the ultrasonic thingie, about the size of a tealite candle.... I am not sure there isa way to make them any better.

I am guessing that going BIGGER is the only option. There is an outdoor pond/fountain size ultrasonic thingie.. basicaly its 12 of the small ones all adjoined together.

you can get them to blow over the top of what ever they are in by raising them up higher. We have one of the cauldron ones and I raised it up higher, filled the water up a little more and removed the thingy that stops the water from spaying in the air....it makes a mess but it does flow the fog over the edges.

I'll try that too...I already removed the little piece that is supposed to block the water spray but will definitely try raising it up a little higher...thanks!

I cant see how adding fog juice to the water would help, fog juice needs to be heated to create mist and as far as I know, those little buggers dont produce heat......I could be wrong tho.

Well...thanks for all the great suggestions...I tried the all! I didn't notice any improvement by adding a little fog juice but did notice a slight improvement when I removed the pieces to block the spray, raised the mister unit up a bit higher and added ice cubes.

In the end...none of it made THAT much difference and the party was so much fun, nobody noticed anyway! :P

Thanks for all the tips, though!

I was slightly bummed with my skull mister, but kept forgetting to pose the question on here. It looked neat, just didn't fog as much as I would have liked.

Thanks to this post, I will remove the piece that blocks the spray next year and hope for the best.

    Thanks !
