Thread: FCG got Jacked!

Well I came out this morning and my FCG was gone as was the black light and one tombstone was broken. On the plus side they just cut the ghost off the rig and left the rig and they didn't break any of my other tombstones. If they had really wanted to be jerks a few well placed kicks would have taken out my whole cemetery.

I am pretty bummed out though I had worked pretty hard on that FCG and now nobody will be able to enjoy it for halloween. I actually used one of those cheap DC spare parts auto motors so I had rigged up a counter weight to get everything working and he had been working great for the last two weeks. At least the people at my halloween party got to see him. I could probably build a new one before Halloween but I would have to drive around looking for another foam skull and get more cheese cloth and whitener and it is just more than I want to do tonight or tomorrow.

Ohh and I am impressed that they got the black light down it was a good 9-10 feet in the air zip tied to the tree so I don't know how they did that. Probably accidently broke the tombstone while getting it down.

Oh geez, that sucks the big one!! Sorry to hear about the theft!! That's probably why I always wait til the day of to put stuff out....I can't afford to lose anything and if it was something that I actually made I'd be ticked off and hurt! :/ Karma is a witch though....their time will come!

I have a foam wig head I would be happy to overnight to you - free of charge. I bought three of them and ended up having no use for any of them.

I feel bad that your haunt got trashed. Consider it my good deed of the year (yes, I usually only do one a year). PM me your address and I can have it to ya tomorrow morning - guaranteed. I'm serious.

That sucks! On the bright side, they thought your ghost looked good enough to steal, and black lights are cheap.

Mello that is super nice of you but really it's okay. Ironically I was just at Michaels and K-mart yesterday and I could have picked up cheese cloth and foam skull at those two stores and maybe if I have time I will still go and get some but I just don't know how enthused I am at this point to assemble another ghost. Your good deed can just be offering to do that for me

Fortunately I spent very little on the ghost and the black light maybe $15-$20 of course those were good deals and it will cost more than that to replace it. I have already been planning on slowly replacing my foam tombstones with wood crosses I like the durability more and if I tear apart 1 pallet I can make quite a few crosses.

terrible. My FCG was he first real prop I built this year. I would not know what to do if someone stole it or what i would tell my children as they are as proud of it as I am. Hopefully the prankster feels bad and does the right thing and returns it before Saturday.

that sucks that someone felt the need to do that to you.. i worry about this as well.. but so far ..knocks on wood.. have had no issues

That really sucks. There have been so many stories this year about props being stolen or trashed. How disappointing.

That sucks! Time to drive around the area looking for anyone who just happens to have a new black light-lit FCG hanging in their window.

This is my first year for being at HF so is there more a rash of this sort of thing than pervious years?
