Well, I'm just about done with my facade for my Magic Mirror display. I decided to show some pictures that I took during the build. I can't wait to display this on Halloween. The kids should love it.

Looks great! Not only will the kids have fun, you're going to have a blast with it. I love using the mirror on Halloween.

Thanks for the nice comments.
I really must say that I'm VERY happy with this program. It's simple to use and very effective. Thanks to those at ImaginEERIEing : Digital Puppetry for Home and Pro Halloween Haunts for a great product.
I should also point out that I used mirrored window film in place of a scrim on this facade. I just couldn't find a fabric that I was happy with. Plus, it's fairly reflective when the program is set with no background. Although, I like the new fade feature that has been added his year. So I'll probably use the animated background. The "curtains" are a velvety burgundy fabric that I bought on sale for $3/yd.
Last year, I ran the skull demo with a projector in my picture window. The kids loved it and a few have asked if I'm doing it again this year. I just told them that I have a somewhat different surprise for them. It's almost been as much of a hit as my Flying Crank Ghost was the first year I had it up. I hope to have video, from the wireless camera I'll be using, to post after Halloween.

Always wanted to try the mirror film, but they never have any in stock at the local Home Depots. How well does the puppet show through the film? Any pics or vids?

I absolutely love this. I have many props for everything but the person giving out candy. Seems I'm burning the candle at both ends and now in the middle too!

Your setup looks fantastic! I know you've been scrambling to get this done, but it doesn't show from the presentation - it looks solid, and the details of the curtains, the skull, the rose, etc., really lend it an "aura of place", like the Mirror is part of a larger, existing environment. Little details like that really add to the immersion.
I hope your visitors enjoy it as much as ours do - let us know how it goes!

Thanks. Unfortunately, the rose was from a recent funeral we attended. My wife almost threw it away. Until I said, "Hey, I could use that. Let's hold on to it". It's about a month old now.
No matter how soon I start, I ALWAYS end up scrabling to get SOMETHING done. I just started this facade last weekend. I've just been busy at work and with my son's basketball team. I still have to work out a "candy delivery system".
Sorry for not posting photos as promised last night. My DSL has been on the blink since our last round of rainfall (I'm at work, on lunch, now). If I weren't so busy, I'd probably call them and complain (AGAIN!). I'll be sure to post more info after "the big day".
My son has a wireless video camera (Hotwheels, I think). I'll be using that most of the day to "monitor" the kiddies. But I also hope to have my brother-in-law by. My thought is to ask the parents for permission for him to video tape the kids reactions to the Magic Mirror.

Well, the mirror was a big hit! The only problem was when some younger kids couldn't figure out where to go. "There's no front door!". That's when I had to use the big booming voice, "Step up to the Magic Mirror!"
Lots of fun!
