My first attempt at making my own decorations for halloween, aside from deciding way too late to start its been fun.
Here's a couple of my ground breakers and my chupacabra/dead charred mechanical deer lookin thing that will guard the entrance to my cemetary with my standup zombie. I airbrushed everything with latex then did a couple of coats of glaze in hopes that the papermache doesnt get ruined. I'll post more pics to this thread of the rest of the stuff outside when the rain stops.
Im certainly open to critique as well. I still need to "dirty up" the clothes the groundbreakers are wearing then they are ready to put out.
Happy Hauntings!

Didnt get many kids, but the ones we did get we had a lot of fun with. This was my first year at getting to go for a scary halloween, there are 300 homes in my development and only 5 of us decorate but I was the only one that put on a "show". With camera flash it doesnt do it justice as the red spotlights, eerie music and strobes with the smoke machine seemed to really set the evening up nicely. Had a couple of friends over that helped in the scaring. Ive never worn the latex pieces before and they kept coming loose but I wasnt about to shave my beard lol.
I was really surprised with how many people my age *Im 36* and older stopped and thanked me for putting on what they called "The way its supposed to look on Halloween and they remember houses like this when they were a kid" made me feel pretty good about the night overall. Religion is VERY VERY oppressing here in this area and I kept waiting for the groups with pitchforks to try and shut me down.
All in all it was pretty good. I got a good start on next year and this winter I'll be working on my pneumatic stuff I couldnt get done before the holiday popped up.
Hope everybody else had a great time as well.

I dont hate zombies, I just love killin em.

Thanks. *sniffle* I'll miss that christmas deer this year lol
I didnt have time to finish the other ones, but next year they will be guarding the cemetary.
My neighbor wants to collaborate and combine both yards next year, making it so that the kids get more candy if they are willing to go further into the cemetary, with distribution points along the way.I dont hate zombies, I just love killin em.
