I filmed a walk-through of my Gruesome Garage in the middle of the day last Saturday. I'm just about done with my haunt and have a few things here and there to add. With the live actors that I plan to have that night, the garage should really come to life then.
My daughter is going to be playing Samara from The Ring and she will be seated and/or standing from time to time in the cage with a blue strobe light below, shining up to her face. I'll have my iMac positioned right next to her (camouflaged of course) looping key clips from the movie, especially the curse video. She'll also have the task of creating the fog for the old chest throughout the night.
My son and his buddy will be in their costumes, just walking around or maybe standing in the corners, with slight movements with just being plain menacing. I will be doing the same and probably more toward the exit with the candy.
I have this idea for my old chest fogger. I'm going to buy a draped skeleton and hang it above the chest, as high as the length of the arms from the top of the chest. Then hook the hands to the top of the chest as if it's pulling up on the lid. The skeleton's head will be looking directly at the TOT'ers and the rest of it's body should be floating parallel to the ground. I may try and use a small fan to place behind the chest and blowing straight up at the skeleton ghost to make it's rags move in the night wind. Hopefully what I envisioned will actually look like what I see in my mind.
The shelf with the pumpkin and the wall in front of it will have an LCD display which will be looping a 45 minute video I spliced together of key scenes from 16 horror/suspense movie classics.
Anyway, here is my walk through...
