We've taken some cake decorations and use them to decorate props. Decopac (Decopac.com) has some nice items.
Under Halloween
FESTIVE SKELETONS DECOPLAC - these are thin raised plastic skeletons. I haven't used them but looking to for a future project.
DP SKELETON IMPRESSION DECOPLAC - this is a cool piece but yet to figure out a project for it (other than making a cake).
DP CREEPY SPIDER-LARGE-3D LAYON - I use them for decoration and much cheaper than the store bought spiders.
SKULL LAYON - This is my favorite. The photo shows eyes but that is frosting. They are 4 inches tall (chin to top of head) and raised about 2 inches. They are made of thicker plastic. I'm gluing them to the corners of a table.
Most of the items would need to be painted. They are a good price at about .25¢ per item but I'm still hoping they put some of it on sale after the Holiday.
There are a lot of creative people here and thought they might be able to use these items do add those extras to some props. I'm using some to make a creepy foosball table. I've gotten a lot of great idea from this group and wanted to give something back. Hoped it helps.
