I wanted to make my FCG move back and forth across the yard, so I welded up a dual 1/8 aircraft cable guy wire system. My thinking was to install a third guy wire on a clothes line pulley system and motorize it.

I was going to use a door windows motor to move the cable but my design failed. A) the motor was not strong enough once tension was places on the gear and B) the rear installed putting pressure against the feed was too much for the motor as well.

Anyone have any simple plans / motor suggestions. I am running outta time!

    Thanks

Not sure what an axworthy ghost is? But basically I have a fcg with a top rig and a low rpm motor that one hangs stationary. I created a guy wire rig to mount the top rig to so it can move across the yard in one axis. But I need to motorize the cable system so that it will move back and forth across the dual guy wires.
