I have some rubber/plastic realistic roaches that I CANNOT get to stick to a vertical surface. I have tried double-sided tape, masking tape, Duck tape, foam tape, rubber sticky dots, even staples. Nothing sticks to those darn roaches! Anyone have a solution?

I've found this site helps with these sort of problems:

    This to That (Glue Advice)

    Rubber to Paper
If it's OK for the glue to show use:

    Barges

But you don't want the glue to show use:

I would say try gluing them to a small piece of cardboard, and then taping that to the wall - so you don't glue the roaches to the wall itself. Unless you want them permanent, that is.

Well, right now I have been attempting to glue some foam tape but can't get the glue to adhere to the roaches. They must be made of the same stuff sil-pat (for baking) is made of because NOTHING sticks to them! Next up, hot glue gun!

sbell, We used the hot glue gun to get rubber spiders to stick & it worked pretty good.
And we stuck them to vertical spider webs.

I'm going to give it a try. At least I know that the roaches will pop off the wall when Halloween is over.

cut small paperclips at one round edge so you have two u shapes left, stick the ends into the rubber on an angle, so they don't go through leaving the ushape as your 'hook' then you can hook them to small brads or whatever. see if that works. These are solid rubber ones right?

Okay. Tried that and even though it is really difficult to get the paperclips into the bodies, when I attach the paperclip to the wall, they stick out too much. I need to give this method some thought on how to get them to lay flat. Good idea though. Thanks.

P.S. These roaches are tougher than the real ones who can withstand a nuclear blast.

Tie a thread around them to a thumb tack underneath. Push it in by pressing the body.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

have you tried the handi tak stuff? it looks like silly putty and works great! I used it to attach 25 small plastic bats and several spiders and rats to my wall and fireplace area so it looks like they are flying up and out of the witches caldron in the fireplace. I used it last year to attach my cockroaches to food plates and coming up my cabinets. You just pull a little bit off, press it onto the surface of the cochroach or whatever and then press it onto the surface you want it to adhere to. Best thing is it doesnt leave a mark when you take it off and can easily be repositioned if needed. Occasionally they will fall off, but just re press it on the wall and you are good. I have had mine up for two weeks now and only had 3 fall down and just put them right back up. I use it for everything! Even kids stuff they bring home from school cause it can be peeled off of anything and re used over and over.
Every now and then I have a quiet chat with the skeletons in my closet-just so they don't come looking for me on their own
