Hoping someone here could help me. I may know the answer, but hoping for a different one!

I have a video with sound that I put onto a cd-r and on a dvd-r....... None of our dvd players will play it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it just because they won't play a dvd-r or cd-r ?

TNBRAD made the video for me.... then I put it into windows movie maker and added sound. I just cant seem to play it in a player!
    THanks for any advice.
    Lynn

If I build it, will they come ?

Did you just burn the file to the DVD?

If you did that won't work. A playable DVD requires you to author the video clip into a DVD compilation with strict standards.

There are a lot of software applications that can do that for you.
    Boo!

A couple possible problems...1 is the media you are using, some players are "finikey" meaning they only like EITHER DVD-R OR DVD+R you just have to try them. Second, DVD players read a VOB file, typically not a mpeg, AVI or MOV file. You need to find software that creates a DVD and burns it to the disk. Nero is one, and I believe that Windows Media Player (the latest) will do the conversion and burn to disk. Ill see what I can find...

You can google "free DVD burning software" and alot comes up. Just make sure you scan for virsuses and you should be OK...

If your dvd player doesn't support that file- then no matter what you recorded it on, it will never play.

If this is the case, get dvdflick and convert that file into a dvd file. The use your dvd burning software and transfer it to dvd

    DVD Flick
